Network adapter not detected until after reboot.

Hi all, I have an Asus M4A78T-E.
Recently the on board Atheros AR8121/ Network controller will not even appear in device manager once you first start the pc. However once you simply go to Start > restart, and reboot it appears and works fine. Any ideas? Thanks!

Updating the driver maybe would solve the problem

I am having the same issue with my Dell desktop (also Atheros ethernet adapter on Windows 7 64 bit).

It's still doing it man. Have not been able to find a fix.
