Overclocking Results and Opinions

January 17, 2013 4:30:21 AM

So I just recently built a new PC:
i5 3570k
8 GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 Mhz
MSI Z77A-G41 Mobo
Kingston Hyper X 120 GB SSD
Corsair TX650 PSU
Corsair 500r Case

This post is obviously referring to my GPU, a Sapphire 7950 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)

I have been OCing this bad boy have found these results with my last batch of testing:

Should I just keep the 1.25V 1175 MHz Core 1500MHz Memory Clock? I am trying to get as much juice out of this bad boy as I can.

No test has ever brought it above 60 degrees Celsius and it has never broke 65 degrees under any game (Sleeping Dogs was the only one to push it that high with everything maxed) with my old settings of 1.125 1100MHz Core and 1500MHz Mem. I noticed I can also adjust the voltage on the memory clock which is defaulted at 1.6 volts, should I tamper with it?

* I had to crank voltage from 1.125 to 1.25 to ensure stability over 1100MHz

**Keep in mind all these tests were done in Unigine with the following settings:

Resolution- 1920x1080
DX11
Tessellation: Extreme
Shaders: High
Anisotropy: 16x
Stereo 3D Disabled
No Multi Monitor
AA: 8x
Full Screen
