Well actually the title is the question but let me open up a bit.
Thing is I don't actually wanna bore you with my temps and volts so if you just tell me which method of OC you prefer and why is just fair and will let me understand the options better. What I like about DVID offset is that it brings the volts down on idle so I believe that it would be better in the long run? I am not sure of the advantages of VCore OC'ing (other than resulting in better volt & temp management?).
And for anyone who would be bothered by another i5-3570k temps and volts there ya go
With my current build (i5-3570k) when I change DVID offset +0.050 and leave C1E (on), at 4.4GHz (turbo) on full load, the core voltage is about 1.41 v which results in temp max at about 87. The same results for 4.5GHz (turbo).
I've also tried 4.4GHz with VCore settings and the only things I have changed were:
Multiplier x44 Turbo Off C1E (on) - other power saving options off Memory Profile Xmp - mem voltage on auto VCore Loadline Calibration (Turbo) - the highest option is Extreme VCore Voltage Response Fast
with these settings, I had a stable sys only with 1.32v which I know sucks. Well just wanted to write it down to check if I'm doing sth very wrong which results in bad volt management.
