4850 512 Mb and 4870 X2 2 Gb XFire

Hi Guys, I got a bit of a dilemma, I bought a 4870 X2 a few days ago to pair with my 4850, and all has been well for that time. However, today I snooped around in CCC and it tells me my card are not perfectly matched for crossfire but it will still work. I know that this means that the memories are different and so the 2 Gb 4870 X2 will become a 512 Mb X2. So the problem is, will a 4870 X2 2GB alone be better than my current XFire Setup?

Thanks in advance

Yes it would

You've seriously hurt performance by crossfire-ing a 4850 with a 4870x2, not only will the memory downgraded to 512MB but also the 4870x2's GPU and Memory clocks will be downgraded to the 4850's

Take that 4850 out...

Thanks for such a quick reply, can you fold with the 4850 outside of Crossfire? (Just so I dont waste a card)

I'm not sure to be honest, maybe you could sell the 4850.
