Hello,
As windows starts to boot it will detect USB keyboard and mouse, but they are not usable after windows finishes booting. What may the problem be?

In bios, you can set usb settings, tinker with it. Thats all I can really tell you. Also you can remove each one except the keyboard and continue from there and see if you get connectivity with just one usb port being used.
Hope this helps.

I just had the same issue with my Asus ws P6T6 mobo. The usb ports were dead.Chances are your mobo needs to be rma. After 2 days of trouble shooting I called tech service and That was the only option left.I had exploited every avenue troubleshooting. If you cant use your keyboard in bios,Then its dead.Usually an RMA takes anywhere from 12 days to a month.

Well, you are in BIOS,that is a good sign.Mobo recognized your keyboard.Go back into Bios and adjust your settings. If that doesnt work insert the drive disk that came with the mouse(if it came with one).
