Suggestions on 100 dollar board

Trying to buy a good board for around 100 USD that supports 1600 mhz ram , Am3 up to thuban, and 2 pcie slots for crossfire, and supports overclocking. Would prefer msi boards but up to other names as well. I would prefer ATX but micro atx is fine in my Antec three hundred

As for a board under $100 for AM3, I would look no further than the ASRock 870 Extreme3!! It is the best overall motherboard for price to performance / features on that socket!!

And 2x PCI-E x16 means that the board has 2 PCI-E slots.and if you use 2 cards,they'll operate at dual x8 speed.

does running crossfire mean running 8x/8x or what is that?

so is it better to run 2 cards or one cuz i was under the impression that they would be running at full speed in cf

It means when you run a single card setup, it runs at x16 (standard speeds) & when you run a Crossfire setup, it runs at x8,x8 for both cards. This is the preferred minimum setup for Crissfire. This is the only sub $100 board with this feature. It is basically a 899GX/FX board at 870 prices.

Well 2 GPUs can run in dual x16,dual x8 or x16x4 mode;however,the performance difference isn't very noticeable between these 3 configs unless you play at resolutions like 2560x1600.So dual x8 is a great option for CF.
