Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

You could risk deleting D: in Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk Management but you need first to check that there is nothing hidden in D:\ before trashing it. Check in My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>View menu and untick "Show hidden files and folders" then tick "Show protected system files and folders"
