Where can I connect this to my motherboard!

Now I ran into a pickle with re-gutting my old compaq presario sr1120nx.... I think the case cables that attach to the powerbutton and the hard drive activity LED are some stupid proprietary connectors. It is HLED and power like wrapped up into on connector!

Please put up with crappy camera Where it is red it doesn't have a hole.

What do I do? This is my first build so I'm puzzled. The only spot it seems to have the correct pin layout is this j_com1 connection which I googled and it is for esata

Please offer a newb friendly solution!

That was going to be my suggestion lol, buying some leads like that for your requirements, one for power one for reset and any lights you need hdd etc, look in your mobo manual for pinout guide for the correct front panel connections

I have run into that problem as well. I used a small screwdriver and removed the pins from the connecter. Used a multi meter to determine what they were for and just plugged them on the appropiate pins.

Worked for me.

You can cut the wires (mark them which is which first) and get this

cut the male end of the cables and connect to your case cables.
