which one should i buy pentium D or pentium celeron both at same 3.00GHz...

The Pentium D are much better cpus.
Take in mind that you have to have installed the appropriate bios revision to be able to run the cpu that you choose:

For example, if you want to buy a Pentium D 925 you must have the 0312 (or greater) bios revision installed before run it. So, update the bios if you have an older revision.

But consider a C2d E4300 @ 1.8Ghz which will kick the assof a D @ 3Ghz and o/c up to 3Ghz very well, with good cooling.

man are you serious that celeron D can be overcloked doubled their frequency .

Are they dual core and run some games better than pentium D...

The problem is that his mobo doesn't support c2d. Pentium D, Pentium 4 and Celeron D only, as you can see in the link above.

In that case, just get the Pentium D, an okay upgrade over the P4 he already has.

I would be willing to mention the last and latest BIOS has no adjustment for CPU, RAM or anything of importance.

Yeah, some thing are better left unsaid. I have been doing my best not to rain on the OP's parade so far but I would be lying if said it hadn't been a struggle.

Uhmmm. OP has to have been knocked out cold and woke up dreaming this board is gonna be the central piece of hardware for a gaming machine. I tried to load up Clock Gen to OC the CPU, but there is no known such a thing for the Radeon Xpress 200 chipset. I currently have an old 6600GT in there, but it bogs like a big Kawasaki blasting off from a dead stop. In 5th gear. Then there is my high clocking 805-D stuck at it's native 533 MHz. BUS. I had a 925-D to throw in, but it's the wrong revision. When I found out I was hoping for an explosion that would just end it. I'm thnking about pluging it in to a bad circuit breaker and loading up the toaster and a 1500w microwave. I wear size twelve's. Any ideas?
