Getting the burning of wires sensation while running the pc

MOst likely a power supply issue, is it a new computer?

I get the smell that something is burning while the system is running. Something like burning of wires. Please help me out.

Firstly, Make sure that you have all the PSU cables well conected (floppy drive, etc).
Anyway, take in mind that when a computer is new there is a characteristic smell which is fully normal.
If it's not that, I would open the case and try to locate where the smell is higher.
