Hello, I am in the process of planning out a gaming pc, and want to make an overclockable, water cooled rig. I am planning on using an i7-3930k as my processor. I was originally planning on going with an ASUS P8Z77-V Motherboard Pro, but then I heard that, apparently, it isn't great for overclocking. Is the P8Z77-V really not a good OCing board? If so, what would be a good example of an OCing board? I would also prefer not having to pay more than around 300 bucks for it.

The 3930k is an LGA 2011 socket ... the P8Z77 is an 1155 socket ....you can't marry the two.

Here's ya LGA 2011 choices

The ROG series will be the best overclockers.....but these fit better in ya budget....the 5 year warranty to my mind is worth the extra $25 for the Sabertooth

Given the cost of the LGA boards and CPU's ya may wanna rethink this but again, the RoG boards are for the overclocking enthusiast..... I have had excellent results with all of these:

I refined my build by replacing my CM M2 Silent Pro 1500W PSU to a 1200W variant, which opens up about 100 more bucks. I'm also willing to adjust my budget to about ~300~350. What'd be the best OCing board in that range?
