T3 demo error

I've downloaded the installer twice now and still get this error:

"Error Starting Program"
"The C:\PROGRAM FILES\THIEF - DEADLY SHADOWS DEMO\SYSTEM\T3MAIN.EXE file
appears to be corrupt."
"Reinstall and try again"

Behind that dialogue window is another:

"Game Launch Error"
"Failed to start C:\PROGRAM FILES\THIEF - DEADLY SHADOWS
DEMO\SYSTEM\T3MAIN.EXE! ( error : 0x0000000b )

Anyone else had this? Is this a known problem?

Erhm, *cough*, well... Didn't ya see any note saying
something like "Thief3 supports only Windows 2k/XP"?

There is a possibility to get that game working in Win9x-
environment, check this out:

You CAN at least get the T3 demo to run under previous versions of
Windows. I got it to run under Win ME by following the procedure that
the provided link above goes to. Unfortunately, I just haven't had time
to play it yet since I can't get the thing to let me map the keys to
what I want them to be. But it does run.

Nice one!

Unfortunately, it appears that my Gfx card isn't up to it...so I'll not be
joining y'all in the T3 revolution.

Back to 'Assassins' in Expert Mode...
