Questions before new build

My new build is on the way, paid for and waiting to be shipped out by Newegg. While I wait, I might as well ask a couple questions that I've been thinking about.

First, my case is a bottom mount PSU case. I noticed that the case has "legs" to hold it a small distance away from the ground. The PSU fan will be aimed directly down at the ground, which is a carpet. Is this anything to be concerned about? (Does the PSU fan suck air in or blow air out?)

Second, I am wondering which version of Windows 7 to put on: 32bit of 64bit. I have been out of the loop with this stuff for quite a while, and I remember when 64bit came out there was all sorts of compatibility issues with programs, but I'd assume that's a lot better nowadays. My PC will be used for Gaming and Surfing the internet mainly, would there be any issues that I should be aware of? How big of a step up is 64bit?

Eh, just go with the 64-bit. No real reason not to, esp with your amount of RAM.

Your PSU has a fan on the bottom that pulls air up and then it just goes out the back. Your case probably has vent holes to let it happen.

With that PSU configuration, I would suggest placing your PC on a desk top or other surface away from the floor.
