OC'ing 3570k causes Catalyst Control Center to crash

I have a bit of an odd problem. At stock speeds on my 3570k, CCC runs just fine. When I overclock to 4.4GHz, CCC doesn't want to start up. Once in a blue moon It'll actually run, but usually it just crashes with the standard "Catalyst Control Centre: Host application has stopped working". I'm using the 13.1 drivers.

Any ideas?

  1. Did u try 4.3? Then 4.2? If you're getting funky crashed i'd hazard a guess that your OC isn't as stable as it appeared.

I had same problem with this chip ..in my situation increasing vcore fixed it running 4.4ghz @ 1.23v fine with no LLC but if i try 4.5 i have to dump voltage in like crazy to make CCC not crash...so much so that its not worth it so i just stay at 4.4..ur vcore or LLC could be the problem but...my mobo sucks so...thats part of my issue im sure (biostar Tz77A) :/. I'd look at load line and voltage if i were u
