LCD replacement

I have T60 laptop with SVGA screen
1024x728 resolution.
I wonder if I can replace the screen to SVGA+ (1440 x 1050) and have the system working flawlessly

It's quite difficult to replace a laptop screen. Possibly impossible - was the model even offered with a 1440x1050 screen?

Pretty sure you'll need to replace other components as well, not just the LCD screen.
