Hello,

I have a MSI P35 NEO (7360) Mobo. And I want to upgrade my memory by buying 1 4GB Corsair xms2 800 (2x2gb)(TWIN2X4096-6400C5C). Can my dimm slot handle 4 GB or does my mobo limit 2GB per slot?

Main Memory

• Supports four unbuffered DIMM of 1.8 Volt DDR2 DRAM
• Supports up to 8GB memory size.
• Supports dual channel DDR2 memory architecture.
• Supports DDR2 667/800 memory interface.

The manual doesn't specify. However, on their memory-compatibility list: http://www.msi.com/uploads/test_report/TR10_1215.pdf, they did not test any 4GB sticks (probably didn't even exist at the time). Then again, they didn't test any 2GB DDR2-800 sticks on that list either.

I would have to say that with an upper memory limit of 8GB (a limit of the P35 chipset itself http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_P35), you would not want to use 4GB sticks.

However, the set you specified is two 2GB sticks, so I don't think you'll have a problem. Running in dual-channel mode will be faster than a single 4GB stick anyway.
