It was part of 8GB package. (2x4GB)

Can i purchase this

and add this one to make it 16GB Ram or will the 12GB tripple chanel ram and this 4GB double ram not work good together. Is there any difference in the actual ram if its double or triple or is it just the MB?

I have been told that it is always best to run ram together as a kit and not add extra in later. It has been said that mixing ram can cause lots of problems and headaches. I would say your best bet would be buy a kit with the total amount of ram you want to have in your system. I have not dealt with this directly but this is the information I have heard from lots of people.
