Toshiba l40 cmos battery

Hello,
I've just broken down a toshiba l40 and am down to the motherboard.
I need to replace the cmos battery. from experience with desktops it looks like a watch battery, but on this motherboard the only thing that looks like the battery is bonded in place. A tiny m&m sized, blue ringed device on the back (viewed from the keyboard side). Is that it, and if so how do you replace it?
