My PC says that I have no sound device

All of a sudden, I have no sound on my computer and the device manager says that I have no sound device.

Any ideas?

Have you been into the BIOS settings? If so, go back in and make sure you did not disable the sound hardware. If not, try reloading the sound driver.

Thanks for the advice - I haven't been able to access the BIOS settings, but I'll keep trying.
