Hello,
I have a Dell Laptop with a T7500 Duo Core CPU. Will a Duo Core T4400 CPU perform the same?
Considering purchasing the T4400 Toshiba Laptop.
Would I be downgrading or holding my own by replacing the Dell with the Toshiba?
Really like my current Dell D830. but have willed it to a younger family member.
Thanks,
Bob

Thanks Lmeow,

You've answered my question. I know larger numbers should mean better, but after browsing Dell's web site and not finding any T7500 CPUs I was confused. To much new technology for me to now keep up with. I started with PC's around 1978. Interfaced a model 15 TTY to a Pet C24P as a printer. At the time was a ham radio operator. A fellow ham and I interfaced two of these systems with a couple PRC25 Vietnam era backpack radios and our C24P with some tone decoders as automated mail systems. We could send mail over a 30 mile distance.

Again Thanks,

All,
I have an emachine E725 and I did swap out the T4400 for the T7500 funny thing with Windows Experience Index actually dropped from a 3.4 to 3.3 when I installed the T7500. Also if you look at the passmark benchmarks for the T4400 it scored 1494, and ranked 472. Where the T7500 scored a 1273, and ranked 545. It seems that the T7500 is actually a slower cpu then the T4400.

See the following link for pasmark rankings:

Thanks,

Troy
