Is it worth getting a GTX470? or 480? or a new motherboard?

I currently have an LGA775 board... now the question is, I already have a 5850, a decent psu, and a core2duo.... I will get rid of this e7500 and my motherboard? Or get a GTX470 or 480 depending on the price....

I am willing to spend juat a bit more for a new system already but the question is should i? OR just get a DSLR NIKON D5000??

I wouldn't pick up a Fermi if you already have a 5850. That's a solid card, should last you a good while. Not sure how much faster Fermi will be than the 5850, there are no real benchmarks out that I could find.

If you have the upgrade bug, I'd off the LGA775 goodies for an 1156 or AM3 platform, but that's just me, I'm still on 775 :)

You know what, youre right, from finally reading the specs and benches from TOMS, Ive decided that unless Im totally boared, I will purchase either of those cards, but as of now, Im perfectly happy with an ATi 5850. It has pleased me as the price points were great at the time i purchased the card. Which was only about $300.

I think I will just buy a Nikon D5000 instead of these overhyped cards..... overdue as well

Yeah i too am upset with the benches as i am also pleased that my 5850 is still holding up well for a 6 month old card!
