Toshiba cmos battery

I've just stripped down a Toshiba Satellite L40 laptop with the aim of replacing the cmos battery. I'm down to the motherboard and the only thing that resembles a battery is an M&M size, blue ring disc on the backside of the board i.e. viewed from the keyboard side. Problem is it is bonded to the connector, I cant see how it comes out. Is this the battery, and if so how does it come out?
