Can I upgarde an HP-Pavilion m9150f with a NIVIDA GeForce 8500 GT to a EVGA GeForce GTS 250 1GB? I understand I will need a 450 Watt power supply. What power supply do you recommend that will work with both the new video card and the m9150f?

Hey SGP,

The most reliable power supply manufacturers are Corsair, Antec, Seasonic, and OCZ.
I would suggest this as an inexpensive option:

Are you committed to a GTS 250? If you want advice on this choice we would be glad to help here as well if you post your monitor info and what kind of games, etc you want it for.

This is a pretty good deal:

I live in Canada so my choices are limited on components. For monitors I have a Samsung T240 and T240HD. I don not play games, and I am just trying to increase computers base score of 4.5 on the video.

If you don't play, why do you want to score higher? o_O

No video card is going to change your life on regular windows/linux/mac browsing or video playback... That 8500 is enough for any non-gaming and non-pro-rendering interest IMO.

Cheers!
