Hey guys I've been messing around lately with trying to learn how to OC stuff. I've OC'd my 460 v2 from 867 GPU Clock and 2025 Mem Clock to 904 GPU Clock and 2294 Mem Clock and I'm at 1025 Voltage. I was wondering if this is a good OC for this card, also on 3D Vantage I scrored between 16700 and 16900 can't remember exact. Did 3D Mark as well with no issues. My temps haven't gone over 67 when I'm playing a game like Guild Wars 2 on High settings.
I'm also running EVGA K-Boost
i consider 10% as a minimum. so you should be able to push a little harder. though sometimes memory doesn't follow my 10% rule and throws a fit by creating glitchy artifacts or blue screening. though its rare for memory to already be so close to its max potential.
Should I up the voltage? Also what would that number be exactly with the 10%? Is my GPU clock speed at a good number?
Also since I turned on EVGA K-Boost I'd say my temps while not gaming and just using Chrome, Winamp, Skype my temps went up by about 10-13~ I have my fan set so it follows speeds according to the temp it's at. Currently I'm at 47, usually at like 35ish.
I noticed though that with it off it was staying at a much lower GPU clock than what I had set it at. It was staying at the clock speed it was at prior to my OC but with K-Boost on my speeds are maxed out and I think I've noticed a difference in game play.
I guess I don't know computer parts enough to know how much stress they can take. I play at 1920x1080 1080p.
Did Kombustor and max load temp was 81 with fans on 100%. Seems high to me, gets me nervous.
your core should be able to do 950 and your memory is already past 10%. i try not to mess with voltages, so research is the way to find those numbers out.
i try to stay out of the 70s for temp but thats because i want the card to last years. if your not worried about replacing it then keep up the temps.
