ASUS SABERTOOTH 55i

I'm looking at getting the
ASUS SABERTOOTH 55i
and I want to run RAID 0
I see that in the specifics this is listed but do all motherboards now days have raid controllers built into them already?
If so, is there any benefit in getting a compenent raid controller?

I'm pretty new to RAID any help would be great.

BTW I'm thinking about running 2 1tb WDB drives.

Unless you are going to be running multiple drives in and out of RAID setups, I would just use the on-board RAID controller. The benefit in a RAID controller is when you are running either multiple RAID setups or some hard drives in RAID and some not... IMO
