Is the Phenom II X6 Compatible with the K10n78 Motherboard?

I'm trying to buy a new CPU, and I'm confused about the Phenom II X6 working my K10n78 motherboard. It says its AM3 and the motherboard supports AM3 but I'm exactly sure if it will work.

I have heard people getting Am3 to work on some Am2+ platforms might be safer just to spend a little more money for a board with Am3 support.

Thanks, however on the manufacturers website, they have a list and it supports K10n78D, etc like similar models. I hope they also support K10n78.

Your board can support the X6 but it needs a bios update, which ASROCK has yet to provide. All AM2+ can support the X6 if their manufacturer provides the bios.

Am3 cpu like the Phenom II x6 (if the Motherboard has the bios for it) can even work on an AM2 socket.

Although at the moment, Your MB as Falc0n said, does not support it.

Which is odd as there are other motherboard that have support for Phenom II x6 and it looks like a few other them are older than yours.
