Thermal compound GELID GC Extreme

is this a good compound to apply to a HDT cooler and does it perform very well. benchmarks say it does but i want some personal opinions.

i would also like to replace the stock thermal compound on my GTX 470 and maybe the thermal tape on the VRAM modules

So would applying this non-corrosive paste that doesn't conduct electricity on the VRAM modules which would be replacing the stock thermal tape be a good idea? or is this a nono?

i would like to do this because i do not wish to purchase some more stuff... i.e. thermal tape, if i can just use some thermal compound that i already will be buying.

I just saw a current review of thermal pastes but was unable to locate it within a reasonable time, just in the last 2 weeks. Maybe the link above will head you in the right direction.
Also many current reviews of a even a single paste will compare it to many other current versions as well, good luck
