Hard Dirves firmware

hey,
anyone knows if theres a logic for HDD firmwares. I mean; like for example, diks with certain capacity must have CCxx or CCx

Or, every drive must always be at the latest?

I would expect this to be very manufacture specific. Is there a something you are trying to determine by asking? Maybe if you posted what you were trying to figure out someone could help.

No, it was just to clarify. As I got some info indicating that drives up to 500GB should/could be with CC37 and 1GB to 2GB should be CC38.

But as you said, this may depend on manufacturer.
