Applying NH-U12P SE2 on 2500K

First time applying thermal paste, it has always been pre-applied on the devices I have installed. I was just wondering if this picture still held truth for the Sandy/Ivy Bridge Quad Core series for applying thermal paste?



Also while I am here, what kind of OC do you think I could achieve with the Noctua cooler?

Use the method on the left, it is called the pea method. Tried and tested and it works the best.
