sorry about the vague subject, didn’t know what else to call it.
What is the best closed loop cooling system (ex. H100) for the price? I have a 3750k that I want at 4.0Ghz

If I were you I would read the Newegg reviews for the most popular models at various price points. Don't believe that the most expensive of anything is always the best. In some cases you may be paying for features you don't want.

I'd still like a water loop, mainly because I plan on using it fro future builds if I need too. And the reviews on newegg are always half good and half people who's products were DOA. but I was thinking the h50, this should do right? maybe 4.5 GHz but I don't think i'll go that far.

If you get a closed loop it should be the H100i or H100i, swiftech are bringing out a system soon thats going to be better though, google swiftech 220 for details, I can't tab browse on my phone to post a link sorry

Nope, CLC coolers are beat by air-coolers at every price point, at the low end especially so. A Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO performs with 1c of a H60 for half the cost.

The 212 EVO will easily allow you to get 4.3Ghz on a 3570k. Was running that frequency on a 212 EVO quite comfortably before I changed to water-cooling.

The difference between the best and worth pastes is something like 2c, and the Coolermaster paste is re-branded MX-4 I think. So its fairly decent.
