Micro SD - Same Speed in Adapter?

Hi.

Does the SD card adapter slow down the read/write performance of the Micro SD card?

i.e. Would a Class 10 Micro SD card perform the same when placed in the SD adapter and used in a camera?

I need an SD card for my camera that requires an a Class 10 card but want to look at the pictures and videos on my smart phone that uses a micro SD card. I want to buy a Class 10 Micro SD card and use it in the SD adapter in the camera.

Sure.

But can't you just hook up the camera to your PC, download the pictures, and copy then to your smartphone? That's what I do to show off my home improvement projects.

Your camera and phone should both have USB cables to attach each device to your PC, at the same time.
