Hello, can a GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB graphics card work on an Inter Core duo CPU E6750 2.66GHz 2.66GHz

As long as your motherboard and graphics card have the same type of slot (PCIE im guessing) then yes it will work.

the question doesn't really make any sense. the GPU's compatibility is not governed by the CPU.

as paperfox mentioned, what is important is that you have to correct motherboard slot (PCIe in this case) and also that your PSU can handle the load.

if you can give us your motherboard model number, as well as your PSU, we can tell you if it will work.

You say that about the question not making sense and i agree but the last thread i just read said Geek Squad at Best buy told someone that an AMD Duo cant recognise a high-end GPU
There should be some sort of controls on who can work in these places.
