I'm having a problem with my new build. Any time I run a graphics test or benchmark test (3dmarkvantage or windows system test) my monitor goes to black screen and will not come back on until reboot. Both test only last about 3-5 seconds before crashing. Ran prime 95 for 12 hours so far with no errors. Just looking for help on where to start. Thanks

My build:
CPU/Mobo: Phenom X4 955 and Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 2x2 GB 1600 mhz CAS Latency 7
HDD: Seagate 7200.12 500 GB
GPU: HD 5770
PSU: Antec earthwatts 650
Optical: Cheap SATA DVD burner
Case: Antec 300
OS: windows 7 64 bit

Is the 6 pin PCI-xpress connector plugged into the back of the GPU?

Seems when the gpu is stressed the system fails. Find out how hot its running.
