So hello, im planing o get a i5 3570k, and oc it.
My case will be Shinobi XL.
So, can i get some oc action with just the 212 evo, or do i need to put more money, like nh-d14 or something like it?
Tho im gttibg a custom loop cooling in future.

We are all getting custom loops in the future.

You should be able to get 4GHZ just raising the multiplier.

nh-d14 < for higher overclocks this is better,it's huge and make sure you have room and low profile ram modules.

^ indeed. But, if ur not looking to spend a lot right now, the evo should get you to ~4.4 on auto voltage with reasonable temps. It's a crapshoot after that.

Hyper 212 Evo + Coolmaster Sickleflows x 2 is around 48 dollars. I personally don't recommend the stock fan unless you want to keep it at stock clock. You always wan't to match fans on a heatsink, the best bang for your buck are the Sickleflows.

For 10 dollars more you can get the Noctua NH-U12P SE2. The build quality is better and it comes fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Including 2 of the best fans you can buy, which usually cost $25 each by themselves.

However the Hyper 212 Evo w/ Sickleflows will perform just as well, but the Noctua would come out with a slight advantage, ESPECIALLY when overclocking.

The choice is yours, however the Noctua colors are kind of ugly. I personally went with the Noctua U12P, because my case does not have a window. I got it for $54.95 on amazon with free shipping.

Here is some proof: http://blog.testfreaks.com/review/noctua-nh-u12p-se2-cp...

^ I thought folks from the Skunk Works would have really fast, low observable heatsinks! Probably black in color, maybe shaped like a triangle.

I use the Coolermaster 212EVO in my workstations which I don't overclock as they are Xeons. I do have a 3770k though and it cools it very quietly when OC to 4ghz.
