More about asus asrock gigabyte biostar
  1. My Recommendations:
    1.) ASRock 870 Extreme3
    2.) ASUS M4A79XTD EVO
    3.) ASRock 880G Extreme3
  2. what about the MSI, Biostar and Gigabyte 870 chipset boards, aren't they good enough.
  3. ASUS is the best all around manufacturer of motherboards, which is why I choose it. Not a fan of MSI and Gigabyte are very good boards too so not a bad choice.

The main reason I went with the ASRock 870 Extreme3, as it is the best price to performance / features for an AM3 motherboard out right now... IMO.
  4. Thank you. Do you know any of the online stores in India where I can purchase Asrock 870 Extreme3 or ASUS M4A79XTD EVO.
  5. I'd go in this order:

    1- ASUS M4A87TD EVO
    2- GIGABYTE GA-880GA-UD3H
    3- ASUS M4A79XTD EVO
    4- Gigabyte 870A-UD3
    5- MSI 790X-G45
    6- ASRock 870 EXTREME3

    I don't recommend the others.

  7. No man, we are in different sides of the world, even, my 1st language isn't English :)
  8. The only thing I could find in the few India sites I know of is the top pick by saint19...

Asus AMD Motherboard (Model M4A87TD EVO)
  9. but that motherboard Asus AMD Motherboard (Model M4A87TD EVO) does a 16x,4x crossfire and not 8x,8x.

So don't you think that it would effect the performance of dual ati cards when installed.
  10. Wait. Do you want use Crossfire in future? If i'm right, forget the M4A87TD EVO, go with a mobo that support Crossfire to x8 or x16.
  11. so can you suggest some motherboards with x8,x8 crossfire. My budget is around $110 to $120 and not more than that.
  12. And which processor should I opt for.

The motherboards listed by you support core unlocking. So should I go with a Phenom II x2 555 BE, Phenom II x3 720 BE or go with an original quad Athlon II x4 640 for gaming purpose.
  13. The games performance depends mostly of the GPU, but the CPU also do his job there. Th core unlock isn't 100% that works fine, so, if you want a quad-core buy a quad-core.

The L3 cache is very useful for heavy work and games, so, the X3 720 is a solid option for CPU.
  14. and which graphic card do you suggest me for crossfire.

    a HD 5770, HD 5850 or a HD 6850.

I would be gaming at a maximum of 1680*1050 resolution. I am not planning to upgrade my monitor.
  15. If you can afford the 6850 Crossfire is a good option.
  16. one last question. What about the power supply. Please suggest me a budget power supply for HD 6850 crossfire.
  17. For 6850 Crossfire is recommended a 650W or better, that PSU is for the entire system.

So, look for a 650W or 700W PSU from a good manufacturer like Anter, Corsair, Seasonic, XFX or PC Power and Cooling.
  18. what about this FSP Epsilon 80 PLUS 700 Watts SMPS
  19. Looks good, but I still prefer the major brands.
  20. Here is a review of the PSU... http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/power_supply/fsp_epsilon_700w_atx_psu/1

It isn't the best of models & isn't the worse either.
  21. then what about this Corsair 700W Power Supply Model - CMPSU-700GSUK
  22. Better choice!!! :D

Excellent, one of the best 700W PSU in the market.
  24. suggest me a budget ram also. I would be using the Asrock 880g extreme3 motherboard. I would also be installing the cooler master hyper 212 plus (a large cooler with push pull config).

So I do not want the RAM to be conflicting with the large cooler.

so please suggest me a good and a budget ram 1333mhz

  26. Maybe you can find some RAM like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231303&cm_re=ripjaws_1600-_-20-231-303-_-Product or the same model, the e-store has a limited selection and the CL of those options is a little high.
