I have a HP 4100 network printer with 60 + users attached to it. Somehow, the IP address on the printer has been changed so that no one can print to it.(gives a 'document failed to print error) Using the Printer's Control Panel, I printed out the config page, thinking it would tell me what it's IP was set to. It doesn't tell me. What else can I do to find out what the current IP is of that printer?

Happen to know the host name of the printer? If you do you can ping it and it will tell you the IP address of the printer. One thing i would suggest though is that if you do know the host name of the printer, always map them via host name not IP that way you dont have to worry about it changing.

Nope, don't know the host name either...I checked all the print-outs generated by the control panel options, nothing there that helps...am I pretty much screwed, or is there a wan I can look at the nic card and tell...maybe there's a default IP?
