Hey guys. This may be the dumbest question yall have ever gotten.

Well i notice some threads say its hardest to run a game at highest setting with a lower resolution then it does at a higher res?lets say 1280 by 1024 is it harder to max out crysis on that setting than it is at like 1600 by whatever?. I run is on highest settings with my radeon 4890.but i am hearing that its harder on the gpu for some reason to run it lower than higher?.Can yall explain to me what the differ is and if this is complete bull or truth?

HELLO DOCTOR NICK :)
It is always harder to run at a higher resolution provided all other settings remain the same.
Despite the clever maths and complex programming, any video card is simply calculating the precise colour of evey pixel (dot) on the monitor screen, the more dots, the more work it has to do.

^ Dr Nick is a character in The Simpsons who appears in their spoof home shopping programmes selling items such as juicers. His opening catchphrase is 'Hello everybody!' :)
