Cant get dvd-rom to work

I just finished installing a clean copy of xp home on a comp...in device manager I've got 2 yellow marks next to multimedia controller and usb devices..any suggestions? Have tried all the set-up disks already..

Have you tried updating the bios and download the latest drivers from the motherboard manufacturers website?

There also might be a bios setting that disables the USB.
