Wireless Network / Wireless Access Point

Trying to figure out what to research when it comes to wireless when you have two machines connecting to a wireless router without any physical Ethernet cord connected to the machine.
I have always had a setup where the desktop had a direct Ethernet connection(wired).
And laptops etc.... would connect through wireless.

I'm troubleshooting this type of setup where a laptop and a desktop are connecting to a wireless and it is intermittent at a certain period of time.
Most likely when other users are also logging in.
Could it be something with the channel?

Any insight into the research I can do or to be pointed in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

TRY to stay on a channel that other wireless are not on in your area!
