Sir, we belong to an animation institute and we want to purchase machine for max, maya and vfx. And our budget is between 30,000-35,000 Rs.(indian rupee), kindly suggest the best machine.

Anyway, you could consider this (prices are approx) :

Processor - AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Rs 11000
Motherboard - ASUS MM4A 785TD Rs 7500
RAM - 4 GB DDR3. I can't list any brands since I don't know if your local retailer will have them. So just ask him for a 4 GB DDR3 kit. Rs 5000
Hard disc - Western Digital / Seagate 1 TB Rs 4000
Graphic Card - Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT Rs 6500
Case + Power supply - Rs 3000

Total - Rs 37000.

Sorry for thread title sir, i m new to community and dont know much about the way of communication .

At this point we are very much confuse to choose the right computer according to our need at this time some of the available suggestion are...

quad core configuration is suggested by one of our friend who is dealing with the cctv, and there saying is that this configuration is better than the i5 configuration, in terms of system stability.

although i got a little better performance of i5 confi. then quad core while using with maya, with view port handling and in rendering also.

kindly suggest the best configuration according to performance as well as value for money.

Today, any modern pc with the latest components is rock stable. System stability is compromised only in extreme cases, like when you overclock ,ie, try to increase the processor speed beyond it's stock speeds, & the resulting heat issues that arise.

The Core2Quad series is outdated & there will be no more upgrades you could do in the future, with regards to new processors. So I strongly recommend you don't get this.

I would say this is the best configuration for you, since the software you used is multithreaded, ie, it would reap the benefits of having 6 processing cores. Also this would be more future proof than the other two systems, since the platform would be compatible with new AMD processors in the future.
