Trying to pick a processor i5 750 or AMD x4 635

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE:I have several parts sitting in boxes just buying the last few (it is my first build)
I'm a massive noob but am trying to learn.

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: 1)Gaming (not planning crossfire) 2)Microsoft office (use power point word and excel a lot) 3)Internet/email

PARTS NOT REQUIRED:

Hitachi 500gb

New parts I have already delivered but unopened:

I plan to get this LED when I have the money: ASUS MS238H Glossy Black 233 (1980 x 1200)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

I have to choose between two combo deals either

AMD 635 and MSI 785gm for $ 110

or

i5 750 and Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 for $210


Please help me out I must leave work at 3:00 to go snag this combo before they sell out.

    i5. The CPU itself is better, as is the board. There isn't really an issue.

    I just want to know where you're getting that so cheap. The i5-750 itself is usually $200, while the X4 635 is usually $120...
  2. The Fry's deal just started today. I may not make it. I just called they had 30 at the Dallas store and now they have 8 and I have 2 more hours till I can get away from work ARGHHHH!!!! lol
  3. If you don't get it, here's a good combo on Newegg for about $200: X4 635 and Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3
