Okay quick question about recoring with Fraps while gaming I currenlty have a

Seagate Barracuda 1 TB (ST31000524AS) 7200 RPM and I just ordered a new hard drive it's on the way it's a
Seagate Barracuda 500GB(ST500DM002) SATA3 6.0Gb/s 16MB Cache

okay so all I want is some help I read alot online but got alot of conflicting info people say use a RAID (which I don't know how) or to partition the HD to make response time faster I know I'm going to record to one and put my OS on the other but beyond that I'm stumped any help would be great my rig is as follows

(Seagate Barracuda 500GB+1TB) (Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 Socket AM3+ AMD 970+SB950) (G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series DDR3 1600MHz 8GB) (Phenom II 955 BE 3.2) (Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO ) (6870 Saphire GPU) (OCZ 770W PSU)
(22'' LCD LG Widescreen) (crappy mouse and keyboard)

RAID is usually best done with drives of the same size. Go for partitioning multiple drives instead if you want to multitask on them. RAID 0 is for running one thing very fast on the disks, partitioning multiple disks is for running more than one thing at a decent speed, all at once.
