You could use either.... If you have no wireless card in your PC then you will need to use an Ethernet connection.

It's worth pointing out that some routers will not allow you to access the admin pages wirelessly, you have to be cabled in.

If you use wireless, make sure you set up security (WPA or above)

what type of router.. model..
and in general gave us more than one sentance in caps

whats a c5 cable? do you mean category 5 ethernet?

if you hook it up with both it will depend on your os and your connection priority
