Hello,

I have a Gigabyte P35C-DS3R with 2x1gb of kingston ddr2 800mhz ram & plan to upgrade to ddr3 2x2gb 1333mhz .
According to the web site (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2749#ov) motherboard support ddr3 - 1333mhz. However memory support list has few ram.

I plan to buy"Kingston 4GB (2X2GB) 1333MHz DDR3 Hyperx Ram KVR1333D3N9K2/4G" which is not in the list. Does anyone try this ram with P35C DS3R?

According to another web site (http://www.ramcitystore.co.uk/product/KIN1-GGAGAP-218.htm) KVR1333D3N9K2 is compatible with motherboard. Does anybody use this web site?

My pc is used for gaming & I need to be able to overclock my E6750. I think ddr3 ram is right choice to update.
Thanks in advance.

DDR2 RAM will not stop you from overclocking your CPU. Unless you are going to 4GB of ram, it is not worth changing to DDR3

OC guides:
This should be your first stop.

Shadow's Gigabyte motherboard OC guide:

It's for an EP35-DS3L but all the Gigabyte Core2 BIOS's are similar.

Go through the guides. Assuming DDR2 RAM, go into the BIOS and change the System Memory Multiplier (or whatever your BIOS calls it) from AUTO to 2.00, 2.00B, or 2.00D - whichever you need to set the Memory Frequency to twice the FSB.

One thing that you can go is to try to overclock what you already have to see how far you can go before you spend any money on more than better cooling.
