Solution ex_bubblehead Nov 28, 2012 msconfig is one of the first things that gets disabled by virus/malware. Download and run a full scan with Malwarebytes ( www.malwarebytes.org ).

It is not a good idea to mess around with the msconfig, it is only for checking errors and problem solving on certain startup features and programs. You may be best to disable start up options in programs and use the "Stop Service" feature in Adminstrative tools for best and safer results. Upvote 0 Downvote
