Hey,

I would like to get a mobo with sli and for an intel chip, 775 or higher and not too expensive. I would like to use my exsisting nvidia gt 240 gddr 5 in sli with other graphics card. Any suggestions?

sorry

i wanted to know what a good intel sli mobo would be for the newer chips like 1156 and 1356 and 775.

I was looking around at nvidia and saw nvida nforce 790i ultra sli which looked good for the 775 but i know might not be the best for my money.

And I know the 1156 and 1356 mobos are more expensive and i don't know much about them.

The nvidia gt240 i think can have another graphics card in sli with it from updated software(not sure)

I assume you mean the 1366/X58 or the 1156/P5. 'Most' of 'us' prefer the ASUS MOBOs for a variety of reasons - primary reason is good power & low fault rates.

Unfortunately, I am certain the GT 240 is not an SLI GPU; the link is straight-off nVidia's site for proof. Otherwise look at the GT 240 on the top - you'll notice the absence of the 'Bridge' connectors. Way back a 'software' SLI had been used and it's miserable at best.

Bang for the buck MOBOs:
