When i start a game my monitor goes blank

Hello, Whenever i start a game my monitor goes blank. My computer should easily be able to play the games and they installed fine.My drivers are all up to date and i don't know whats wrong.It looks as if my computer is trying to play the game in a different monitor, when i press alt tab it returns to the start menu as usual. Please help

Try changing your desktop res and starting the game. Go into the config file for whatever game you are playing and change the res to match your desktop. Experiment with different resolutions and see if that fixes the problem. I know it worked on BF2 for me.
