How to reduce the size of taskbar

How do I make the size of the task bar that I keep on the bottom of the page half the size that it is as it seems to have doubled in size with one of the icons lower also?

Reduce number of icons, if you right click and Unlock the taskbar, hovering the upper edge of it, should allow you to minimize the bar to your desire.
