Graphiocs card for P5QPL-AM

Please help me i want to purchase nvidia card for P5QPL-AM which will be best i have intel core 2 quad 8300 2.5 GHz 4 gb ddr 2 ram and samsung 20" inch monitor, which card will will be perfect please guide me options are 9400GT 9600GT 9800 GT

thankx alot, any more suggestions , do 9400 9600 9800 performance varies and how much ....and will asus's P5QPL-AM will support this 9800 without any issues ?????

Yes, but once again, the 4850 1gb is the fastest card, and it's under 100$. you're board will take it fine.

4850 is supported by asus P5QPL-AM motherboard.... PCI 1.0 express vs PCI express 2.0 of 9800 GT // 4850 ATI , what if i buy it and it donot work.

The cards are backward compatible with PCIe 1.0. Your motherboard should have no problems with it. What need to be questioned is your power supply. That is what might limit your card selection.

i have 550 watt of power supply, i am from india so not many options are available where i live so i have got 550 watt of powersupply from quantum, is that enough

The HD4850 is better, roughly 20% or so and a bit more than that if you are talking about one of the newer 9800GTs without a power connector as they are underclocked some.

i would like to ask something..asus P5QPL-AM supports only DDR2 ryt?can it take DDR3 type video cards like that of HD 4850 RADEON you are suggesting?
