OK 1500$ is the limit, i was gonna wait about 2 months but my laptop was stolen. So im gonna buy within 2 weeks. Now the limit is 1500 or around it. Now i choose a 5ms monitor but im not sure if i should go with 2ms. The computer will be used for gaming and watch movies and anime. I would like as big monitor as possible but i dont wanna sacrifice performance. I want a crossfire mobo so that later i can add a second 5870. I plan to overclock the CPU to 3.8ghz. Im not sure about a keyboard, i dont think it really matters. any suggestions or new builds will be hugely apreciated since i want to game soon, it sucks not being able to.

CPU: 965 BE 3.4ghz

PSU : 550watt

GPU : HD 9870

HARDDRIVE: 1TB Western

MONITOR: ASUS 23"

RAM : gskill 4GB

DVD DRIVE: LITE ON

CASE: HAF 922

MOBO : ASUS

HEATSINK : COOLMASTER

GOO : COMPOUND HEAT GOO

KEYBOARD: ???

MOUSE: already have razer deathadder and love it.

Now i have no preference to intel or amd, which ever is best for gaming. That is my goal, a beastly gaming computer that later i can add a second 5870. So whatever is best, meaning highest rates and clocked speeds etc.

Few changes.

Different mobo. 750 watt PSU. 955 instead of 965 seeing as the 965 is just an overclocked 955. and the Seagate barracuda 7200.12 1TB instead of your WD

You could probably go I-5 with a 1.5k budget but since I don't know much about intel mobo's I'll let some one else suggest a I-5 build and you can decide.

*EDIT* this would be a better monitor then the one above http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

XFX is good because of there warranty, I chose the diamond because it was cheaper.

i couldnt get it to fit on one page like you did.

Well the power supply isn't the best. Brands go like.

1. Corsair
2. PC Power n cooling
3. Antec / seasonic / silverstone
4. OCZ
5. (All the rest SUCK)

So OCZ is last on the (good) list. The 750TX would be a very high quality PSU where you can easily crossfire the 5870 with ease. You could still probably crossfire the OCZ PSU with another 5870 but it could be risky.

Go for the 7200.12 hard drives, they are better then the WD black.

If you go intel you miss out on USB 3.0 / Sata 6GB's. And the 1156 socket is at the end of its life. The AM3 socket will be around for the hexacore (if you buy a 790 or 890 mobo)

*EDIT* And not to mention, the I-5 is the superior processor, However... The 955 is not far behind, usually losing to only a few FPS in games.

And this ram because of 7-7-7-21 timings. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
